EXPERIENCE
I have a BA in Art and Architecture History from New York University and during my time as a student, prior to coming to UCLA for my M.Arch, I worked at the New Museum of Contemporary Art assisting with fundraising as well as at the Art Commission for the City of New York, Office of the Mayor assisting in advancing and approving the aesthetics and designs of all publicly funded art and architectural proposed projects throughout the city. I became interested and passionate about architecture after a semester abroad in Italy, and I truly believe the best way to learn is to experience and fully immerse yourself in the culture, the history, and the people.
WHY PANAMA?
It is for this reason the Panama project resonates with me – to challenge myself to experience another way of life and to lend a helping hand to make a difference in a community other than my own through practical and aesthetic architectural design. To become involved in the lives of others in a positive way and help alleviate hardships by contributing to their needs is one small way to make a real tangible difference. These human connections are what stay with you forever, and it is a win-win for everyone involved.
